What is a Project Library?

A Project Library is a dedicated space for all Collections and consequently Content that are part of these collections. Each active Library and all it's Content is uploaded onto the Rumie App through the Sync process. Note: this includes the Rumie Tablet or any Android device with the Rumie App installed.

Who can create Libraries?

Any user with access to the Rumie Management Center. This includes Organization Administrators and Project Managers (Administrators with Manager access to specific Projects). Any user can elect to either create Project Libraries by adding Collections to them, or to clone an existing Library. Cloning a Library replicates all the Collections and Content from the parent Library to the newly created Library.

What is the benefit of Cloned Libraries?

Cloning a Regular Library can be beneficial when wanting to create a new Library which will have the same or similar Content as an existing one. After a Library has been cloned, it can be added under a new or existing Project under the same Organization that you are part of.

For example, purposes, let us assume we have an existing Library: Math Intro in Project: Youth Resources.
We have created a new Project named Summer Camp. We wish to use the Math Intro content from the Youth Resources Project in the Summer Camp Project.
To accomplish this, we must create a Clone of the Library Math Intro in the Summer Camp Project.

Both these Projects will now use the Collections and Content from the Math Intro Library.

Project Youth Resources → Regular Library Math Intro

Can Cloned Libraries be changed after they have been created?

Cloned Libraries can then be changed by deleting individual Collections and Content items from them. There is no further difference between cloned Libraries and standard Libraries, and any changes to either the parent Library or the newly created cloned Library WILL NOT affect the other. Are there any differences between Cloned Libraries and Standard Libraries on the Rumie App?

There are no differences in how Libraries appear or function on the Rumie App, regardless of how they were created.

How do I use Libraries on the Rumie App?

Once your Library or Libraries have synced successfully on your device, you can start viewing the content. The Content for each Library is unique and you will have a separate view for each of your Library. You can select your Library by selecting the (☰)hamburger menu on your left, navigate to "My Libraries" and select a Library from the "Select a Library" pop-up. Clicking on the radio button (O)next to a Library name and then confirm by clicking "OK", your Content should be available then.
