The Rumie tablet comes pre-configured with the Rumie App installed. The Rumie tablet has features that are exclusive to it such as Content Lockdown and Analytics. 

Tablet Setup


Turning your Tablet On

  1. Turn on the Rumie Tablet by holding down the short button on the right side of the device for 4 seconds
  2. The first time the Rumie Tablet is turned on it might take several minutes to load. If so, please wait
  3. Once turned on, the lock screen will appear. To unlock the Rumie Tablet, place one finger on the lock icon at the bottom of the screen and swipe upwards

Configuring Volume on the Tablet

The volume controls on the Rumie tablet are located on the right-hand side of the tablet. They are the largest button of the two buttons. When the volume button is pressed up or down, this will adjust the volume accordingly.

To get further volume options, select the drop-down arrow located in the volume screen that appears when pressing on the volume button. The music note symbolizes the volume for the apps and videos on the tablet. The alarm clock symbolizes the volume for alarms that may have been set on the Rumie tablet.

Configure your Rumie tablet to Do Not Disturb Mode

  1. Ensure the Rumie tablet screen is ON
  2. On the main page of the Rumie tablet, swipe from the top downwards to access a Settings menu
  3. Click on “Do not disturb”
  4. Select the length of time to enable Do Not Disturb

Usage

Description

Syncing Analytics

  1. In the Rumie app navigate to “Settings” -> “Sync” -> “Analytics sync to LearnCloud” -> “Sync Now”

The Admin has access to view analytics through the LearnCloud Admin Panel.

Uninstalling Apps

Only the Admin has access to uninstall apps available on the Rumie Tablet. To uninstall apps as an Admin, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the home screen

  2. Press and hold on the icon for a few seconds until an X appears

  3. Select the X and click on “Uninstall”

Content Lockdown 

  • When the Content Lockdown is ON, learners will not have access to freely browse the Internet, access Rumie Tablet settings, or anything else that the Admin has restricted permissions to in the Project Library.
  • The tablet admin can freely access all parts of the Rumie Tablet even when Content Lockdown is ON.
