ROS 4.0 Release Notes

4.0 - July XX, 2019

Updates and fixes in release 4.0

Updates

  • The Configure Project Page has been removed and is replaced by the Sync Device Page. It will carry out a similar functionality as experienced in the previous versions but with more improvements in the efficiency of syncing projects automatically and manually. With this, the selection of a Library or multiple collections in a Library has been removed as well. This functionality can be performed within the Rumie Management Center by selecting Libraries as being Active or Inactive.
  • For WiFi and SD card sync payloads (zipfile) will now be created on the Project level. On ROS V3.8 and below, the Offline payloads (zipfiles) were processed on the Library level. This includes all Libraries in the Project.
  • On the Library / Content View Page, the filter to "View Group" has been removed from the menu. This was done to provide a universal common view for each and every user (Admin and Learner) for better UI experience. Now the default view to navigate content in only at the "Collections" Level
  • A new Android permission has been requested with ROS 4.0. Users will have to select "Allow" for this permission in order to gain the serial number of the Android device. This is necessary for accurate analytics.

Fixes

  • Default content view is now present only at the Collection Level
  • Sync Device Page will provide ONLINE and OFFLINE sync option to sync your Project successfully to your device from the Cloud (Rumie Management Center)
  • Syncing can be done automatically or manually depending on Wi-FI / Internet Connection bandwidth and reliability
